Inspirational Board: All Natural

August 25, 2010

I must say I love the colour brown. I don’t know if it’s the “outdoorsy” that’s in me or what but it is such a fun an interactive colour. From molten chocolates to whiskey this color can make any event feel like you’re enjoying a picnic in the woods. Here are a couple of things to note when using such a monochromatic color at a wedding: 1. Textures, textures, textures (I can’t say that word enough. Matte brown on Matte brown is just boring, but melted chocolate on a graham cracker is something I can talk about!) 2. Mix up your shades (From black – burnt wood to light brown – a twig all these shades can add an interesting flare to any event) 3. Pair it with other neutrals and/or add a pop of colour like a bright orange or kelly green (this is pretty self explanatory).
