Wedding Trend :: Silhouettes

November 16, 2010

The Victorian silhouette portraits are a perfect depiction of the bride and groom (or guests) and a more personal alternative to the popular initial displays you see at most weddings. You can incorporate these portraits into your invitations or programs like these found on 100 Layer Cake, or, my personal favorite, you could get them done for each guest (at a small wedding) to use as place cards that also double as favors! The bottom right picture is a more modern take on this classic art form that would be great for a young, hip couple to send out as save-the-date’s.

    Love this idea we did the cutest silhouette invitations for the sweetest little 5 year old girl’s birthday party! It’s a great way to personalize your stationery for sure!
