Yesterday we received a fun email about an auction going on on Thursday, May 12, at 7 pm. They are having a very unusual auction- a local retailer will be auctioning 120 brand new wedding dresses from their inventory. In homage to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the international wedding frenzy, Morton Kuehnert will auction 120 new wedding dresses at its Wedding Dress Auction Event on Thursday, May 12, at 7 pm. There will be a preview reception beginning at 5pm with a brief Auctions Are Fun 101 for those who have never been to an auction. The gowns may be viewed on-line at http://www.mortonkuehnert.com. They may be previewed beginning Monday, May 9th in the Morton Kuehnert showroom/auction house at 4901 Richmond Ave., Houston, 77027. The gowns will also be auctioned on http://www.liveauctioneers.com on May 12. Designer labels include: Maggie Sottero Wedding Collection, Mori Lee, Emerald Wedding Gowns, Paloma Blanca, Jasmine, Casablanca Bridal, Faviana, Eden Bridal, Alfred Angelo, St. Patrick, Angelina Faccenda, Symphony Bridal, Justin Alexander, Scala, Impression, PC Mary’s, Anjolique, Alfred Sung, Allure and Cinderella.
